Job Overview

The Renewable Energy Storage Systems Engineer will design, develop, and implement large‑scale battery storage solutions that integrate with renewable generation assets such as solar and wind farms. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed feasibility studies and techno‑economic analyses for battery storage projects.
  • Develop system specifications, electrical schematics, and integration plans for storage solutions.
  • Perform load flow, short‑circuit, and stability simulations using industry‑standard software.
  • Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of components.
  • Lead commissioning activities, including factory acceptance testing and on‑site validation.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and local regulatory standards for safety and performance.
  • Provide technical support during operation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in power system analysis tools (e.g., PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP).
  • Strong understanding of battery chemistries, management systems, and inverter technologies.
  • Experience with SCADA integration and grid‑code compliance.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Project management experience in renewable energy projects is a plus.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in energy storage, renewable energy, or project management are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in designing, engineering, or managing large‑scale energy storage systems, preferably within the renewable energy sector. Prior experience with ABB products or similar high‑voltage equipment is advantageous.

Salary

The competitive salary range for this role is SSP 250,000 – SSP 350,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances may be applicable.
