Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate numerical models for slope stability, ground control, and excavation sequencing.
  • Provide design recommendations for rock bolts, shotcrete, steel sets, and other ground support measures.
  • Collaborate with mining, ventilation, and safety teams to integrate geotechnical findings into operational plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate ground behavior during mining activities, adjusting designs as necessary to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Support the implementation of best practices in geotechnical data management and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in geotechnical software such as RocScience, PLAXIS, or FLAC3D.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geological data.

Education
