Job Overview

The Construction Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and reporting on the cost, schedule, and performance metrics of L&T’s construction projects in Eswatini and neighboring countries. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts, and monitor actual expenditures against baseline.
  • Generate weekly and monthly performance reports, highlighting variances, trends, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies to address schedule and cost uncertainties.
  • Collaborate with procurement to track material deliveries, change orders, and subcontractor invoices.
  • Support the project manager in value engineering studies and cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with L&T’s internal control standards, client requirements, and local regulations.
  • Facilitate regular project control meetings, presenting data-driven insights to senior leadership.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in project control software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and cost management tools.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a focus on data accuracy and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting to multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) frameworks, and local building codes.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline is required.
