Job Overview

The Construction Project Controls Engineer will play a pivotal role in planning, monitoring, and controlling the cost, schedule, and performance of large‑scale construction projects. Reporting to the PMO Director, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project control systems, analyzing variances, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. This position is essential for driving efficiency, mitigating risks, and supporting strategic decision‑making across our construction portfolio. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for assigned projects.
  • Track project performance against baseline schedules and budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Generate regular progress reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for senior management.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, and field teams to ensure accurate data flow and timely updates.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address schedule and cost impacts.
  • Support change order management, including impact analysis and documentation.
  • Facilitate project control meetings and ensure clear communication of project status.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost control tools.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, EPCM frameworks, and industry standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑CPM, or AACE International credentials are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience in project controls within the construction industry, preferably on large infrastructure or industrial projects. Experience with cement or building materials projects is a plus.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from SSP 150,000 to SSP 250,000 per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and allowances aligned with company policy.
