Job Overview

The Data Center Operations Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of AWS’s new data center in Bulembu. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the facility while maintaining compliance with AWS standards and local regulations. This role is critical for delivering high‑performance cloud services to customers in Eswatini and neighboring countries. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily data center operations, including power, cooling, and network infrastructure.
• Implement and monitor AWS operational best practices to achieve 99.99% uptime.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem processes.
• Manage a team of technicians, engineers, and support staff, fostering a culture of safety and performance.
• Coordinate with security teams to ensure physical and cyber security compliance.
• Develop and maintain capacity planning models to support growth forecasts.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, HVAC, and networking.

Education

Experience

Minimum of five years managing data center operations or large‑scale IT infrastructure, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in a cloud services environment or with hyperscale facilities is preferred.

Salary
