Job Overview

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental policies at the Matsapa facility. Reporting directly to the Plant Director, the role ensures compliance with local regulations, international standards, and Toyota’s internal EHS framework. The manager will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed safety practices into production processes, reduce environmental footprints, and foster a proactive safety culture. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and risk assessments aligned with SSP regulations and Toyota standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead emergency response planning, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and crisis management.
• Monitor environmental performance metrics such as waste reduction, energy consumption, and emissions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and coaching to employees at all levels on safety protocols, hazardous material handling, and environmental best practices.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to integrate safety considerations into new product launches and process changes.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely communication with government agencies.
• Promote a culture of safety through campaigns, recognition programs, and employee engagement activities.

Required Skills

• In‑depth knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation in Eswatini and ISO 45001 standards.

Salary
