Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Instructional Designer to lead our digital curriculum transformation initiative. This role is critical in bridging the gap between traditional pedagogical theories and modern e-learning technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive online and blended learning curricula using advanced instructional design models.
- Collaborate with academic faculty to transform traditional course content into interactive digital learning experiences.
- Evaluate and implement new educational technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to enhance student engagement.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify gaps in current training programs and propose innovative solutions.
- Develop assessment strategies and tools to measure the effectiveness of instructional materials and learning outcomes.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior instructional designers and faculty members on digital pedagogy.
Required Skills
- Expertise in ADDIE, SAM, or similar instructional design methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle or Canvas.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with diverse academic stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of adult learning principles and cognitive load theory.
- Proficiency in multimedia authoring tools like Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
Education
A Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, or a closely related field is mandatory. A PhD in Education or a related discipline is highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a strong academic background and a proven track record of successful curriculum implementation.
Experience
Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in instructional design, specifically within a higher education or corporate training environment. Proven experience in managing large-scale digital transformation projects in an educational setting is essential. Salary
