Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the end‑to‑end sourcing process for raw materials, packaging, and services essential to Unilever’s production lines. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management to secure favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and finance teams to forecast demand and ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor market trends and risk factors, providing actionable insights to mitigate supply disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records in the ERP system and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce total cost of ownership.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in Excel and procurement software.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of influencing internal and external partners.
  • Knowledge of local and international supply markets, especially in FMCG sectors.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to ethical sourcing practices.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of siSwati is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CPSM or CIPS are desirable and demonstrate a commitment to the procurement profession.

Experience

Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of hands‑on procurement experience, preferably within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment. Experience in managing supplier performance and implementing cost‑saving initiatives is essential.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 30,000 to 45,000 per month, reflective of experience and qualifications, along with performance‑based incentives.
