Job Overview

We are seeking a Digital Forestry and Biodiversity Specialist to join our team in Ngwenya, Eswatini. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our conservation efforts, including the use of remote sensing and GIS technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field, and experience working with digital technologies. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to support conservation efforts, including the use of remote sensing and GIS technologies
  • Collaborate with conservation teams to identify areas of high conservation value and develop strategies for their protection
  • Work with local communities to develop and implement community-based conservation initiatives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform conservation decision-making

Required Skills

  • Strong background in environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field
  • Experience working with digital technologies, including remote sensing and GIS
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
