Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Microsoft’s assets, client data, and service platforms within the Eswatini region. Reporting to the Information Security Manager, the analyst will monitor security events, conduct threat analyses, and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal and customer-facing applications.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams to implement security controls and hardening measures.
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds and provide actionable recommendations.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and present findings to senior leadership.
- Support compliance initiatives such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and local data protection regulations.
- Participate in security awareness training and mentor junior staff.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Proficiency with security tools such as Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and Wireshark.
- Experience in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals are highly desirable.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably within a large enterprise or managed security service provider environment. Prior exposure to cloud security, especially Microsoft Azure, will be considered an advantage.
Salary
The competitive salary range for this position is SSP 250,000 to 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
