Job Overview
The Construction Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large‑scale construction projects in Eswatini, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing all phases from design through commissioning. Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with client requirements and company standards.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, government agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular status reports, financial updates, and performance metrics.
- Oversee procurement, contract administration, and quality assurance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across projects.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of SiSwati is an advantage.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCMP (Certified Construction Manager) are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience managing construction projects of medium to large scale, preferably within the Southern African region. Experience with infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects is advantageous.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
