Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize renewable energy systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications
  • Conduct feasibility studies for solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects
  • Develop technical specifications for energy storage and grid integration solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on system modeling and performance analysis
  • Prepare project documentation for regulatory approvals and stakeholder presentations
  • Monitor system performance and implement continuous improvement strategies

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in energy system simulation software (e.g., HOMER, RETScreen)
  • Strong analytical skills for energy yield and cost-benefit analysis
  • Experience with electrical system design and power electronics
  • Knowledge of local and international renewable energy standards
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Fluency in Eswatini national language (SiSwati) and English

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Master’s Degree preferred but not required
  • Certifications in energy system design (e.g., NABCEP) considered an asset

Experience

  • 3-5 years in renewable energy system design or related engineering field
  • Proven track record in delivering energy projects from concept to implementation
  • Experience working in Eswatini’s energy sector or similar African markets

Salary

8000 – 12000 SSP monthly, commensurate with experience and qualifications
