Job Overview

The Telecommunications Network Security Engineer will be responsible for safeguarding Orange Eswatini’s core network infrastructure against evolving cyber threats. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security controls, monitoring network traffic, and responding to incidents to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. The engineer will work closely with network architects, operations teams, and external vendors to embed security best practices throughout the lifecycle of network projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses on network devices and services.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in firewall configuration (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) and IDS/IPS solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting logs, packet captures, and security alerts.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure during incidents.

Education
