Job Overview

The Risk Management Analyst will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks across Barclays’ Eswatini portfolio. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for new products, services, and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and produce regular risk dashboards for senior management.
  • Analyze credit, market, operational and liquidity risks using quantitative models and scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with compliance and audit teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Prepare detailed risk reports, including risk‑adjusted performance metrics, for the Board of Directors.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the bank’s risk appetite framework.
  • Participate in stress‑testing exercises and contribute to business continuity planning.
  • Provide risk‑related training and guidance to business units to promote a strong risk culture.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in Excel, VBA, and statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing clear risk documentation.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines and translate them into actionable controls.
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in risk analysis, credit risk, market risk, or a related area within the banking or financial services sector. Prior exposure to Eswatini’s regulatory environment, as well as experience working in a multinational banking institution, will be viewed favorably.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and other incentive schemes are part of the total compensation package.
