Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Finance Analyst will be responsible for evaluating, structuring, and managing financing packages for renewable energy projects throughout Eswatini. This role involves conducting financial modeling, risk assessment, and due diligence to ensure the successful execution of projects that align with our strategic objectives and ESG commitments.
Key stakeholders include project developers, internal credit teams, legal counsel, and external investors. The analyst will also collaborate closely with the bank’s sustainability team to integrate ESG criteria into financing decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for solar, wind, and hydro projects.
- Conduct comprehensive credit analysis, including cash flow forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and covenant structuring.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentation decks for senior management and investment committees.
- Coordinate due diligence activities with legal, technical, and environmental experts.
- Monitor project performance post‑financing, ensuring compliance with financial covenants and ESG standards.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with currency, interest rates, and regulatory changes.
- Support the negotiation of loan agreements, term sheets, and security documents.
- Collaborate with the sustainability team to embed green financing criteria into all project assessments.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and market dynamics.
- Understanding of ESG frameworks and green bond standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. An MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are highly desirable.
Experience
At least five years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or corporate finance, with a focus on renewable energy projects. Prior exposure to emerging markets and cross‑border financing is advantageous.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 85,000 to SSP 120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and long‑term incentive plans are also available.
