We are actively involved in the support and development of the Eswatini Stock Exchange (ESE), with several of the securities on the ESE developed and managed by African Alliance Eswatini.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

As a Graduate Trainee in Private Equity, you will work closely with experienced investment professionals to gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of private equity transactions. This includes deal sourcing, financial valuation, drafting investment memos, and analyzing exit strategies.

The program is designed to accelerate your learning curve and prepare you for a long-term career in private equity.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT

A degree in finance, economics or a related field, paired with financial market knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a passion for business and innovation, will strengthen your application.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deal Sourcing

  • Conduct market research to identify potential investment opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends and build target lists of companies
  • Support outreach efforts to founders, advisors, and intermediaries

Valuation & Financial Analysis

  • Assist in building financial models
  • Analyse historical financials and forecast future performance
  • Evaluate key value drivers and risks

Investment Memorandums

  • Draft clear, concise investment memorandums and pitch decks for investment committee consideration
  • Summarize business models, competitive positioning, and financial metrics
  • Present findings to senior team members

General Support

  • Participate in due diligence processes
  • Attend meetings with portfolio companies and external advisors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad hoc projects
