Job Overview
The Network Planning Engineer will be responsible for designing, optimizing and expanding Vodacom Eswatini’s radio access network (RAN) to meet growing demand for high‑quality mobile services. This role involves detailed analysis of traffic patterns, capacity forecasting, site acquisition coordination and the development of strategic rollout plans that align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive radio network planning, including coverage, capacity and quality assessments.
- Develop detailed rollout plans for new sites, upgrades and technology migrations (e.g., 4G to 5G).
- Perform drive‑test analysis and use planning tools to model network performance.
- Collaborate with RF engineers, transmission teams and external vendors to ensure design feasibility.
- Prepare technical documentation, cost estimates and project timelines for network expansion projects.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) post‑deployment and recommend optimization measures.
- Support regulatory compliance by preparing required filings and spectrum usage reports.
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings to align network strategies with business goals.

Education

Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in mobile network planning, optimization or a related field within the telecommunications sector. Prior experience with African market deployments is a plus.
Salary
The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 30,000 to SSP 45,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be offered.
