Job Summary
The Junior Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day bookkeeping activities, assisting with invoice processing, reconciliations, accounts administration, and ensuring accounting documentation is properly organized.
The successful candidate will work closely with finance teams to support financial accuracy and operational efficiency while gaining practical experience in bookkeeping and accounting systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities (JD)
The Junior Bookkeeper will be responsible for:
Financial Recordkeeping & Bookkeeping
- Assisting in maintaining accurate accounting and bookkeeping records.
- Recording daily financial transactions and ensuring proper documentation.
- Organizing and updating accounting records, receipts, invoices, and payment files.
- Supporting general ledger updates and bookkeeping processes.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Support
- Processing supplier invoices and payment records accurately.
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Following up on outstanding payments and supporting customer account reconciliation.
- Monitoring financial transactions and maintaining payment schedules.
Bank Reconciliation & Financial Administration
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and account balancing activities.
- Supporting preparation of financial summaries and accounting reports.
- Identifying discrepancies and escalating accounting issues when required.
- Maintaining confidential financial documentation.
