Job Overview
The Senior Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Specialist will play a critical role in evaluating the potential environmental consequences of proposed projects in the Big Bend region and beyond. Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies for large-scale industrial and agricultural projects.
- Conduct field surveys to collect data on local flora, fauna, soil quality, and water resources.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports for submission to the Eswatini Environmental Authority.
- Develop Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) to mitigate adverse ecological impacts.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including local community leaders and government officials, to facilitate public participation.
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure compliance with approved environmental permits and regulations.
- Provide expert technical advice to clients regarding environmental risks and mitigation strategies.

- Advanced proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and spatial data analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of Eswatini environmental legislation and international sustainability standards.

Education

Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and qualifications.
